Mommy love!

So... Just when I think I can't possibly love anything more, here comes a huge love burst for this little tiny human that happens to be my baby...
and I completely LOOSE it!!

Holy cow.. NEED I SAY MORE?

Maggie is at such a fun stage right now. She is two months old and starting to smile and coo a lot and respond to my dorkiness. She has also started splashing in the tub and playing with her hands as well as so much more. She is developing this precious personality and becoming more and more my best friend each day. I thought that sometimes it might be a little awkward having this little person around that can't talk or express feelings or emotions, but man was I wrong. Not only was I wrong about her not being able to express herself (because she is THE most vocal and expressive baby I have ever known) but it just keeps getting more fun having her around every single day!

I honestly can say that being her mommy is a hundred times more rewarding than I ever imagined. Even at 3 in the morning when I am exhausted and really needing to sleep, I still find myself excited to see her eat her middle of the night meal. Sometimes I find myself just stuffing my face with anything I can find to make sure I don't nibble on her cheeks too hard.. Not that I ever would, but she is just so tempting!! ;)

Anyways, I am truly grateful for my sweetheart buddy, Maggie and I am grateful to Heavenly Father for trusting me with her. I hope I never dissapoint him. :)

Baby MagPie!

So on September 14, 2009 at 3:56 pm my sweet little Maggie was born! She weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long.

I can honestly say that I had no idea what I was in for. I definitely know now that the things that are the most difficult and painful to get are the things that give you the most joy. I have never gone through something so hard, but have also never felt such a deep and growing love for something. Maggie is such a great blessing I can't even believe she is real sometimes.

I love everything about this girl and I could never ever imagine my life without her.

Best Day of my Life!

So yesterday I was so excited to finally have a day to myself and feel free to do whatever I wanted! I decided to go to Walmart to get some much needed grocery shopping done. After quite a while of trying to decide what to get and such, I took my groceries out to my car to put them in and drive safely home. While feeling the torturous heat I decided that it might be a good idea to turn the car on while I load up the groceries. So, feeling smart as ever, I reached into the car and pushed the "unlock" button to unlock all the doors, reached in and put the keys in the ignition. Come to find out, as I tried to open the back door to put my groceries in, I had accidentally hit the button the "lock" direction and locked my keys in the car with the car on! Feeling frantic, I ended up calling the police and after two calls of trying to be patched through to dispatch, a police car was called to come save me. In the meantime, I waited and waited in the smoldering heat with my rotting groceries by my car. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than being seven months pregnant, stuck in the heat, waiting for a cop car with my car slowly running out of gas and my groceries rotting, low and behold it starts to RAIN!!!! Now, what are the chances of it raining near the end of JULY?!?! Well, I guess that's what I get for living in Utah, but still, It seemed quite unlikely. So after becoming soaked in the rain, my groceries dripping wet, and low spirits, a little more than an hour after I had called the police station, a police man shows up, unlocks my freezing empty car and I load up my soaking groceries and head on home.

It is experiences like these that allow me to step back and realize that God FOR SURE has a sense of humor! Even though I really wanted to cry while going through that, I still got a really good laugh, and learned a great lesson to next time, be a little bit more careful when doing such a simple deed as loading up groceries. I'm sure that every time I do, I will think of the rainy day in July and get a good laugh. :)

Overflow of LOVE!

So this is my first actual "blog"! I decided to finally start up a blog spot after being influenced by my sister, Christy, who has an awesome blog!

So I just wanted to say how blessed I feel to have such a great family and a marvelous husband! I can't even begin to explain how much my family means to me. I understand that every family has a tight bond, but I don't think that every family is as tight as us. There is no place I would rather be than watching a silly movie that my dad loves ( like Monty Python, High Anxiety, Young Frankenstein, or Invasion of the Body Snatchers) with the whole family laughing together, or watching him work his magic on a beautiful organ at the Salt Lake Tabernacle, or gallivanting all over BYU campus with my mom and sister for Education Week, or painting my little sister's fingernails, or wrestling with my brother, or being a complete dork with my big sis in public, or snuggling with any given member of the family, or just being around them in general. I wish that every second of every day could be spent in the company of my precious family.

I also wanted to mention how much I appreciate my hubby. I honestly don't know what I did to prove myself worthy of somebody who is capable of such sincere love. I think that sometimes it is easy not to acknowledge how awesome it is that we are so in love. I am so lucky to have found him as early in life as I did. Because I am so young, it just means that we have that much more time to add on to our eternity together! I don't know how I would have survived another day without him in my life. I am so excited to start our family together in the future, and I hope he knows that there is nobody else in this universe that I would rather be with forever, than him.
